Message: If anyone out there has a half-decent copy of a song called Taddy Up from the Pink Industry session for John Peel broadcast around 1983 and never recorded elsewhere so far as I know, I would love to get hold of it. It's been one of my great favourites for nearly 20 years now, but all I have is a rather poor recording on cheap cassette which was once chewed up. I've salvaged it as best I can and converted it to an mp3 (I'd be happy to make available to anyone who's interested) but would love to f

Message: Thanks for putting together the links with Big in Japan, which I listened to and loved on the compilation record "To the shores of Lake Placid". That record is a great snap shot of this unique period in music. I bought DABG in Luxemburg in 80/81. The title caught my eye and you could spin a cut or two on a record player at the store and after the first few seconds I bought the record.

Message: I first heard the song Do Animals Believe in God?
in maybe 1980 or 81. I've always liked it and my
copy came off the radio. I've wanted to get a new
copy for awhile and I've been looking on eBay because that's
the only place I know to get it. A great sound and I'm glad
you're still making the scene. I Love that song.

Message: Wow! Back in Sydney, a neighbour that became a Jehovah's Witness gave me a cassette of "Do Animals..." He apparently thought the title was blasphemous or whatever.

But it was a fantastic album. I really don't know why it's considered to be so WEIRD, it's SUCH a lovely, melodic record with songs that one still remembers 20 years later. The songs are very VARIED in style and so on, but what's wrong with that?

Thank you so much for creating this site, I can finally see what PM loo
